Leandro Trossard has called on his Arsenal teammates to shift their full attention to the looming Champions League semi-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain after a frustrating draw in the Premier League.
Speaking after Wednesday’s 2-2 result against Crystal Palace, the Belgian forward, who found the net in the encounter, admitted the Gunners fell short of expectations and must bounce back quickly.
“It was not a great performance. When you lead twice, you have to see the game through. We need to be sharper and more focused,” Trossard told the club’s website.
The forward emphasized that the team cannot afford any lapses ahead of the high-stakes European fixture.
“After the first goal, we needed to keep things simple, but we got too comfortable. They punished us for it. That cannot happen against PSG,” he warned.
With the semi-final just days away, Trossard believes regrouping and recovery will be key.
“We have to rest and prepare properly. The next game is massive,” he said, as Arsenal eyes a spot in the Champions League final.
