D’Tigress Land Mozambique and Rwanda in AfroBasket Group

Nigeria’s women basketball team, D’Tigress, will square off against Mozambique and Rwanda in Group D of the 2025 AfroBasket Championship.

The draw, confirmed ahead of the continental showpiece, sets the stage for a thrilling campaign as D’Tigress aim for a record extending seventh African title.

The tournament will be hosted by Cote d’Ivoire from July 26 to August 3 at the iconic Palais des Sports de Treichville.

Fresh from an inspiring quarter-final run at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, the Nigerian side enters the championship with strong momentum and title ambitions.

Host nation Cote d’Ivoire face a challenging group alongside Angola and Egypt, while Group B pits Mali against Cameroon and South Sudan. Group C features Senegal, Uganda and Guinea.

With the draw now complete, the path to African basketball glory has been drawn, and D’Tigress are ready to rise once again.
