Nigeria’s under twenty side, the Flying Eagles, cruised to a 2–1 win over Egypt’s Young Pharaohs in a thrilling international friendly at the Cairo International Stadium.

The warm up fixture offered a glimpse of what to expect as both teams gear up for the 2025 Africa Under Twenty Cup of Nations.

With confidence now high in the Nigerian camp, the Flying Eagles will kick off their campaign against Tunisia next Thursday.

They will then face Morocco and Kenya in Group B.

For hosts Egypt, the road begins this Sunday against South Africa, followed by clashes with Sierra Leone on the thirtieth of April, Zambia on the third of May, and Tanzania on the ninth.

The victory marks a timely boost for the Flying Eagles, who look to conquer the continent once again.
