The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, has declared that the ruling party is fully set to capture the entire Federal Capital Territory in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at a unity rally in Abuja on Thursday, Ganduje said the APC would not only reclaim the FCT in the presidential election but also take the lone senatorial seat and the two House of Representatives slots, currently held by opposition parties.
He made the bold declaration while receiving over 20,000 defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party, led by the Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, Christopher Maikalangu, and 12 ward councillors.
“With over 60 percent control of the FCT, victory in 2027 is assured,” Ganduje said, stressing that the political tide had turned in favour of the APC.
The rally also had in attendance the Senate President, represented by Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, who hailed the defection as evidence that President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is yielding results.
Former Kogi governor Yahaya Bello fired up the crowd with a clear message: “There is no vacancy in Aso Rock in 2027.”
The event marked a turning point in the APC’s quest to dominate Nigeria’s seat of power.
