The Presidency has downplayed concerns over a recent United States court order directing the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Administration to release documents linked to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Reacting to the ruling by a US District Court judge in Washington D.C., Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, insisted the development holds no surprises for the administration.

In a statement shared on his official X handle, Onanuga described the documents as long-standing public records, stating, “The report by Agent Moss of the FBI and the DEA report have been in the public space for more than 30 years.”

He further clarified that the files contain no incriminating evidence against President Tinubu, and reaffirmed the administration’s confidence that the revelations would not sway public opinion.

Onanuga also disclosed that the President’s legal team is actively reviewing the court’s decision, but maintained that the Presidency remains unshaken, dismissing fears of any damaging disclosures.
