Nigeria’s Flying Eagles are bracing for a challenging campaign at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, having been drawn into a competitive Group B alongside Tunisia, Morocco, and Kenya.

The much-anticipated draw, conducted by the Confederation of African Football in Cairo, Egypt, was announced on Sunday, sparking excitement and anticipation among football enthusiasts.

With seven U-20 AFCON titles to their name, the Flying Eagles carry the weight of high expectations.

Their journey to reclaim continental glory will begin with a crucial opener against Tunisia on Sunday, April 28, setting the tone for what promises to be an intense group stage.

The tournament, originally set to be hosted by Cote d’Ivoire, has found a new home in Egypt following recent adjustments by the organisers.

Egypt will not only host but also headline Group A, where they face off against South Africa, Sierra Leone, Zambia, and Tanzania.

Defending champions Senegal have been placed in Group C, a line-up that features the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and perennial rivals Ghana.

The action is scheduled to kick off in grand style on Saturday, April 27, when Egypt squares off against South Africa in the opening fixture, setting the pace for a championship filled with fierce competition and youthful energy.

As the countdown begins, Nigerian fans are rallying behind the Flying Eagles, hoping their young stars will rise to the occasion and add another chapter to the nation’s proud football legacy.
