NYSC Conference: FCTA Pledges Stronger Support for Youth

The Federal Capital Territory Administration has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering young Nigerians and strengthening national service programmes, promising greater support for youth development initiatives in the capital.

Speaking at the 2025 NYSC Annual Management Conference in Abuja, Hon Ango Abdullahi Suleman, Mandate Secretary of the FCTA Youth and Sports Development Secretariat, delivered the assurance on behalf of FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike.

Suleman applauded the National Youth Service Corps for its enduring role in promoting national unity and building the capacity of Nigerian youths.

He also congratulated Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu on his appointment as the twenty third Director General of the NYSC, hailing his leadership since taking office.

“The FCTA will continue to provide an enabling environment and the necessary institutional support for youth driven initiatives and the NYSC scheme to flourish,” Suleman stated.

He further commended the dedication of delegates from across the country, noting that their commitment to strengthening the youth corps system is crucial.

 

Suleman emphasised that the success of the NYSC depends on sustained collaboration among stakeholders and reaffirmed the administration’s resolve to play its part fully.
