Popular Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has called on Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi to support his upcoming music project, The Machine, reminding him of his past loyalty during the elections.
In a series of posts on X, the rapper demanded a public endorsement from Obi, insisting he had campaigned for him with “sweat and blood.”
He urged the former governor to record a video promoting his music, warning, “Me and you never ever get problem before. Make e no start now.”
Odumodublvck was one of the most vocal entertainers supporting Obi in 2023.
He referenced him in his music and even rejected an invitation to perform at President Bola Tinubu’s inauguration, citing his political beliefs.
While some fans backed his call for reciprocity, many criticized him for trying to pressure Obi into endorsing his project.
The controversy has sparked debate over the relationship between politics and entertainment in Nigeria.
