Nigeria’s Super Eagles have climbed one spot to 43rd in the latest FIFA world rankings released on Thursday.
The team, which ended 2024 in 44th place, moved up following their recent victory over Rwanda in the World Cup qualifiers.
Argentina maintained its position as the top-ranked team, with Spain in second and France in third.
England and Brazil rounded out the top five in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.
