Nigerian music stars Speed Darlington and Portable are set to settle their heated rivalry in a celebrity boxing match on April 18, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos.
Their feud erupted in March when Speed Darlington offered Portable N500,000 to perform at his show.
Portable dismissed the offer as insulting, calling Darlington “poor” and insisting his booking fee was N20 million.
“You are inviting me for a show, and you do not have money. You use my name to promote your show.
“I charge N20 million; ask around. I do not want to be friends with poor people,” he declared.
Angered by the response, Speed Darlington expressed regret over the invitation, leading to further taunts.
Portable then challenged him to a boxing match, boasting that he would win just as he did against actor Charles Okocha in a previous fight.
Following massive social media interest, event organizers Mygamerush confirmed the match, announcing, “You asked and now it is here. Two street kings battle for ultimate street supremacy.”
Fans are eagerly anticipating the fight, which promises to be an explosive showdown between two of Nigeria’s most controversial entertainers.
