President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended the tenure of Mrs. Kemi Nanna Nandap as Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service.
This decision, announced on Monday, recognizes her leadership and contributions to the agency since she joined in 1989.
Mrs. Nandap, initially appointed on March 1, 2024, was set to serve until August 31, 2025. However, a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, confirmed her tenure will now run until December 31, 2026.
Under her leadership, the agency has made significant progress in border management, modernization of immigration processes, and national security improvements.
President Tinubu commended her efforts and urged her to align with his Renewed Hope Agenda.
Reaffirming his commitment to national security, Tinubu pledged continued support for the Nigeria Immigration Service in ensuring safe and legal migration while protecting Nigeria’s borders.
