TikTok has taken down 2.4 million videos from Nigerian users in the last quarter of 2024 for breaching its content guidelines, placing Nigeria among the top 50 countries with the highest infractions.
The platform’s latest Community Guidelines Enforcement Report revealed that 153 million videos were removed globally, with the United States leading at 8.5 million deletions.
TikTok also shut down 211.5 million accounts, including 185.3 million flagged as fake and 20.5 million belonging to underage users.
Reaffirming its commitment to platform integrity, TikTok stated that it remains vigilant in detecting fake engagement and enforcing community standards.
