President Bola Tinubu on Sunday joined Muslim faithful at the National Eid Prayer Ground in Abuja to observe Eid-el-Fitr prayers, marking the end of Ramadan.

The President arrived before 9 am and was warmly received by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and other top officials.

The prayers, attended by a large congregation, highlighted the significance of Eid-el-Fitr as a time for reflection, charity, and unity.

Following the prayers, President Tinubu hosted a delegation led by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, at the Presidential Banquet Hall for Sallah homage.

The gathering included lawmakers, FCT area council chairpersons, traditional rulers, and religious leaders from both the Christian and Muslim communities.

Opening prayers were offered by Dr Timothy Amazon, Chairman of the FCT Christian Association of Nigeria, and Prof. SAS Galadanci, Murshid of the National Mosque.

Wike delivered the opening remarks before guests presented greeting cards to the President.

The celebrations underscored the spirit of togetherness, with Tinubu reaffirming his commitment to national unity and religious harmony.
