The Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has dismissed reports claiming his principal collapsed in Abuja on Friday.
Social media posts on Friday night alleged that Wike slumped at an event in the capital and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
However, his aide, Lere Olayinka, refuted the claims on Saturday, calling them fake and unfounded.
The clarification comes amid rising political tension in Rivers State following the clash between Wike and the suspended Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
