The Federal Government has introduced a N2.5 billion Credit Access for Light and Mobility initiative to help Nigerians cope with rising energy and transportation costs.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Finance Incorporated, Credicorp, and the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative, aims to provide affordable credit options for citizens to transition to compressed natural gas solutions.
Speaking at the launch, Michael Oluwagbemi, Chief Executive Officer of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative, highlighted the program’s potential to drive local investment.
“This initiative can attract critical investments for domestic production of compressed natural gas conversion kits, fostering self-reliance and economic growth,” he stated.
The credit scheme reflects the government’s commitment to sustainable energy and financial relief for Nigerians.
