President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed four new members to the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to boosting local participation in the oil and gas industry.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced the appointments in a statement on Wednesday.
The new members are Mr. Olusegun Omosehin representing the National Insurance Commission, Engineer Wole Ogunsanya representing the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria, Mazi Sam Azoka Onyechi from the Nigerian Content Consultative Forum, and Barrister Owei Oyanbo from the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
These appointments replace outgoing institutional representatives to ensure the council remains effective in driving local content policies.
The NCDMB, established under the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act, plays a crucial role in promoting indigenous participation in the sector.
President Tinubu charged the appointees to bring their expertise to bear in advancing economic growth, creating jobs, and deepening local content development in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
