The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has opened an investigation into a viral video capturing a heated altercation in Ushafa Community, Abuja.

The incident allegedly stemmed from resistance to arrest and obstruction of police duties.

Preliminary findings indicate that those involved defied lawful arrest and disrupted police operations.

Officers identified in the video have been summoned for questioning to determine the full circumstances surrounding the clash.

FCT Police spokesperson, Superintendent Josephine Adeh, assured the public in a statement on Sunday that the investigation will be transparent and thorough.

She urged all parties involved to visit the FCT Police Command Headquarters in Garki Two, Abuja, to provide their statements.

Adeh also cautioned against obstructing law enforcement officers, advising those with grievances to seek redress through legal channels or contact the Command’s Complaint Response Unit at 08107314192 or the Public Complaint Bureau at 09022222352.
