The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has distributed 10,000 bags of rice to Muslim groups and vulnerable individuals in Abuja as part of the annual Ramadan support package.
The distribution, which took place in Gwagwalada on Monday, was aimed at assisting Muslim communities and providing relief during the fasting period.
Wike’s Chief of Staff, Chidi Amadi, stated that the beneficiaries included religious groups, associations, and those in need across the FCT.
Wike reaffirmed the FCT Administration’s commitment to residents’ welfare, especially during festive seasons.
Other beneficiaries of the Ramadan package include traditional rulers, religious leaders, and the FCT Welfare Association.
Expressing gratitude, the Chief Imam of the FCT Minister’s residence, Lawal Mustapha, said the gesture would ease the burden on vulnerable households during Ramadan.
