The Federal Government has taken a major step in promoting clean energy by signing a partnership agreement to expand Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), infrastructure across Nigeria.
Through the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGi), the government sealed the deal with key industry stakeholders on Monday to deploy CNG mini fueling stations and modern equipment nationwide.
Speaking at the signing ceremony in Abuja, PCNGi Chief Executive Officer, Engr Mike Oluwagbemi, described the move as a crucial step toward providing Nigerians with affordable, sustainable, and safer energy alternatives for transportation.
He emphasized that the partnership would accelerate the country’s transition to cleaner energy, reducing reliance on expensive and environmentally harmful fuel sources.
