The Federal Government has commissioned a solar-powered water facility at the National Youth Service Corps orientation camp in Kubwa, Abuja, bringing long-awaited relief to corps members.

Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Prof. Joseph Utsev, inaugurated the project on Saturday as part of activities marking the 2025 World Water Day.

He stated that the initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to enhance water and sanitation infrastructure nationwide.

With thousands of corps members passing through the camp every two weeks, Utsev emphasized the importance of clean water for their health and hygiene.

NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Olakunke Nafiu, lauded the project as a game changer, stressing that access to clean water is crucial for national development.
