The Federal Capital Territory Administration has approved N1.94 billion for the purchase of five heavy-duty machines to enhance urban development efforts in Abuja.
Chief Felix Obuah, Coordinator of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council, announced the decision after a meeting chaired by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike on Wednesday.
The equipment, including CAT Wheel Loaders, Excavators, and Dozers, is expected to arrive within three weeks.
Obuah emphasized that the machines would not be used for demolitions but to support broader development control initiatives.
