The Lagos State Ministry of Transportation has completed an extensive inspection of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), vehicles set to operate on the KoroRYDE e-hailing platform.

This initiative aligns with the state’s push for lower transport fares, reduced carbon emissions, and a shift towards eco-friendly mobility.

Officials assessed the vehicles for safety, functionality, and environmental compliance, marking a step forward in Lagos’ quest for sustainable urban transportation.

KoroRYDE spokesperson Abiodun Oyetunji expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Our goal is to provide a cleaner and more reliable transport solution.

This inspection reinforces our commitment to the highest safety and environmental standards.”

The company has teamed up with BlackWhiteEnergy to ensure top-tier conversion of vehicles to CNG while also collaborating with financial institutions to help drivers and fleet owners switch to CNG through flexible installment plans.

With the successful inspection, KoroRYDE is set to roll out its CNG-powered fleet, offering Lagosians a greener and cost-effective alternative to traditional fuel-powered transportation.
