Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has dismissed reports claiming that former President Olusegun Obasanjo and a delegation from the Pan Niger Delta Forum visited him over the weekend.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara described the reports as false and aimed at misleading the public.
He accused those behind the rumors of trying to destabilize the state.
The governor also reaffirmed his commitment to implementing the Supreme Court’s ruling on the state’s political crisis, despite resistance from the House of Assembly.
