The village head of Danko in Bwari Area Council, Federal Capital Territory, HRH Etsu Yuda Garba, who was abducted alongside his grandchildren and other residents, has been found dead in Knakuchi village, Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Garba was kidnapped on March 11, 2025, with his captors demanding N100 million for his release, rejecting the N3 million offered by his family.
A family member, Tanko Baba, confirmed that vigilantes discovered the monarch’s decomposing body on Sunday morning, and he was buried later that evening.
A community source revealed that he had been shot in the chest.
The fate of his two grandchildren and the other abducted residents remains unknown.
The police have confirmed the discovery but have yet to provide further details. Efforts to reach FCT police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, were unsuccessful.
