The Department of State Services has sealed the IBB International Golf and Country Club in Abuja following an internal leadership dispute that has rocked the prestigious facility.

The closure on Saturday reportedly aimed to disrupt an Extraordinary General Meeting scheduled for three o’clock in the afternoon.

Sources claim that influential members orchestrated the intervention, but it remains unclear who invited the security operatives.

In a statement to members, the club captain, Ibrahim Alhassan Babayo, described the development as an unprecedented incident in the club’s history.

“For the first time, we are facing an unexpected and unfortunate situation,” Babayo said.

He accused a small group with vested interests of trying to undermine the meeting but assured members that due process would be followed.

“We urge members to remain calm. All necessary legal steps will be taken to ensure the Board of Trustees vacancies are properly filled,” he added.

Babayo pledged to keep members updated as events unfold.
