Woman Jumps Into Lagoon, Dies

A yet-to-be-identified woman has been found dead after jumping into the Lagos Lagoon from the Third Mainland Bridge, sparking concerns over mental health awareness.

The incident occurred around 4 p.m. near the UNILAG waterfront, with marine police swiftly recovering her body. Despite rescue attempts, she was pronounced dead by UNILAG medical personnel.

Lagos Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the tragedy, stating that the woman’s body has been deposited at the IDH Mortuary in Yaba.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
