The N39 billion renovation of the Abuja International Conference Centre is nearing completion, with the project now 70 to 80 percent done, according to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

Speaking during an inspection on Wednesday, Wike stated that the rehabilitation, handled by Julius Berger, was ordered after President Bola Tinubu condemned the facility’s poor state during the inauguration of the sixth ECOWAS Parliament in April 2024.

To facilitate the overhaul, Wike suspended all activities at the centre on April 8, 2024.

He assured that all necessary materials have been imported, and the project is on track for completion by May.
