The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will inaugurate its South-South Zonal Caretaker Committee on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the National Executive Committee Hall, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, by 11 AM.

The committee, led by Chief Emmanuel Ogidi, will oversee party affairs in the region until a new Zonal Executive Committee is elected.

Other members include Nicholas Ayuwa, Godwin Akpan Udonta, Bekewei Ashanti, Idehen Ebomoyi, and Vivian Ahanmisi, with Damiete Herbert-Miller as Secretary and Dr. Chris Uduoaka as Administrative Secretary.

The inauguration comes amid ongoing leadership disputes, following a court ruling barring PDP from proceeding with the South-South zonal congress.

Despite the tensions, the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) has urged members to remain united and committed as the caretaker committee assumes temporary leadership.
