President Bola Tinubu has officially inaugurated the Planning Committee for the National Youth Confab, tasking them with shaping policies that directly impact young Nigerians.
Speaking at the State House, Abuja, on Monday, Tinubu charged the committee, led by Olubunmi Olusanya, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth Development, to prioritize solutions in technology, agriculture, and job creation.
“Tell me where things are wrong and offer solutions. We will implement them as long as they contribute to Nigeria’s prosperity,” Tinubu assured.
The month-long confab—first announced in Tinubu’s Independence Day speech—will feature virtual consultations, regional discussions, and a final session in Abuja.
Samson Itodo, a committee member, welcomed the initiative but cautioned against political interference.
The committee comprises government agencies, civil society groups, and the World Bank, underscoring a collaborative push for youth-driven policies.
