A fire outbreak early Monday morning gutted a section of Geometric Power’s facility in Osisioma Industrial Layout, Aba, Abia State.
The affected building, previously used by the defunct South African electricity firm Group 5 during facility construction, had been abandoned for over 12 years.
While the exact cause remains unknown, Geometric Power staff managed to contain the blaze before the Abia State Fire Service arrived to fully extinguish it.
The company commended its workers for their quick response and praised the Fire Service for its professionalism.
Assuring the public of uninterrupted power supply, Geometric Power reaffirmed its commitment to providing stable and affordable electricity within the Aba Power Ring-fenced Area and beyond.
