Amid rising concerns over insecurity, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Commissioner, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has identified key kidnapping flashpoints in Abuja and assured residents of intensified security measures.

Over the weekend, Disu led a high-level security team, including senior officers, the anti-kidnap squad, local vigilantes, and journalists, on an assessment tour of crime-prone areas such as Guzape-Asokoro bypass, Kpaduma, Kugbo, Gbaglape, and Nyanya hills.

Following the visit, he announced plans to boost patrols, enhance surveillance, and implement structural deterrents to curb criminal activities.

He also pledged collaboration with community leaders to develop targeted security interventions.

“Criminals exploit isolated terrains like Guzape hills, but we will not let them thrive,” Disu vowed, reaffirming the police command’s commitment to securing the FCT.

He urged residents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement authorities.
