The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), has identified a technical fault on a feeder as the cause of the widespread power outage affecting several areas in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
In a statement posted on its X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday, AEDC apologized for the blackout and assured residents that its technical team is working to restore power as soon as possible.
The outage has left major districts, including Jabi, Kado, Life Camp, Idu, Karmo, Airport Road, and Lugbe FHA, in darkness.
Other affected areas include Nile University, Kuchingoro, NNPC Estate, Peace Village, and surrounding communities.
While efforts to resolve the fault are underway, AEDC has urged residents to remain patient, promising swift restoration of electricity to the affected areas.
