Police Bust Armed Gang in Kano, Foil AK-47 Deal

Kano police have arrested four suspected bandits in a major crackdown, seizing illegal firearms and over ₦1 million in cash allegedly meant for an arms deal.

The suspects were apprehended at Chula Filling Station while attempting to acquire an AK-47 rifle, according to State Police Spokesperson SP Abdullahi Kiyawa.

Officers recovered three locally made revolvers, knives, cutlasses, and charms during the operation.

Currently under investigation, the suspects will soon face prosecution.

The police reaffirmed their commitment to eradicating banditry and criminal activities, aligning with Inspector General Kayode Egbetokun’s nationwide security directives.
