Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has extended an invitation to the Martin Amaewhule-led faction of the State House of Assembly for a crucial meeting on Monday, March 10, 2025.

The meeting, scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Government House in Port Harcourt, follows Fubara’s receipt of the Certified True Copy of the Supreme Court’s judgment.

Key issues on the agenda include providing a venue for legislative sittings, deliberations on the 2025 budget, and addressing outstanding remuneration for the lawmakers.

The invitation, conveyed by Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, signals a possible truce in the political standoff between the governor and lawmakers loyal to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

With tensions high, the outcome of this meeting could shape the political direction of Rivers State in the coming months.
