Educate Girls, End Poverty –Minister

The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, has declared girl child education a powerful tool to break Nigeria’s cycle of poverty.

Speaking in Abuja on Friday at the inauguration of implementation committees for Luminah 2030 and the Quality Education and Learning Outcomes Initiatives, he stressed the urgent need for inclusive and high-quality learning.

“These initiatives will tackle the out-of-school crisis and ensure a brighter, more prosperous future,” Alausa stated in a document personally signed on Saturday.

He unveiled key committees, including the National Monitoring of Learning Achievement Committee and the Teacher Capacity Building Committee, urging members to approach their roles with dedication.

Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Ahmad, reinforced the commitment to empowering educators and prioritizing education for girls, calling it essential for national progress and sustainable development.

With renewed government support and stakeholder collaboration, the drive to transform Nigeria’s education system is gaining momentum.
