The Federal High Court in Lagos has adjourned the arraignment of Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, popularly known as Eezee Tee, the former manager of gospel star Mercy Chinwo, over alleged fraudulent conversion charges filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Justice Alexander Owoeye postponed the hearing on Thursday, citing an ongoing administrative process that must be concluded before further legal action.
Onyedikachukwu, who was present in court for the first time, was represented by Chikaosolu Ojukwu, SAN, and Dr. Monday Ubani, SAN, while Bilikisu Buhari appeared for the EFCC.
The judge also rejected a request to maintain the status quo pending the administrative process, adjourning the case until May 14 for further proceedings.
