Bishop Alfred ‘Lahojah’ Ogunnusi of the Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church has issued a public apology after a viral video of his controversial tongue-to-tongue anointing ritual sparked outrage.

Initially defending the act as biblically inspired, Ogunnusi cited Genesis 48:10 to justify his actions.

However, amid mounting criticism, he later retracted, saying, “Please don’t be angry… forgive me.”

The Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church swiftly condemned the act, labeling it “disturbing and despicable.” The controversy has reignited debates on religious accountability and acceptable spiritual practices.
