The Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN), is set to launch state-of-the-art radio and television stations in Abuja as part of its ambitious plan to transform the Federal Capital Territory into a premier entertainment hub.

PMAN President, Pretty Okafor, announced this during a facility tour of the association’s 2.5-hectare property in the Kukwaba District.

He revealed that the stations would be key components of a one-stop entertainment centre designed to nurture talent, host events, and expand opportunities for Nigerian musicians.

The association is also establishing two music schools—one focused on business and the other on rudimentary training—to provide structured learning for upcoming artists.

Beyond Abuja, PMAN plans to expand its media footprint to key cities like Kaduna, Jos, Enugu, and Rivers, ensuring nationwide access to music promotion platforms.

Okafor emphasized that the initiative would eliminate payola, allowing musicians to upload their songs directly for airplay and global exposure.

Additionally, PMAN is pushing for international recognition of Nigerian music, with projects such as the Afrobeat Music Festival in Spain aimed at showcasing homegrown talents on the global stage.
