Bwari General Hospital Laboratory has retained its prestigious ISO 15189:2022 certification, reaffirming its status as Nigeria’s only government-owned medical lab with international accreditation.
The lab, first certified under ISO 15189:2012 in 2019, secured its renewal after meeting global medical standards through upgraded procedures, staff training, and investment in modern equipment.
The achievement aligns with the Federal Capital Territory Administration’s (FCTA), push for improved healthcare under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s aide, Lere Olayinka, hailed the milestone as proof of ongoing healthcare reforms, while Health Services Mandate Secretary, Dr. Dolapo Fasawe, urged other government hospitals to follow suit.
