The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has temporarily closed Runway 18R/36L at Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, for rehabilitation work.
In a statement on Monday, FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mrs. Obiageli Orah, announced that the closure began at 3 a.m. to allow for asphalt repairs on the A2 Taxiway link, ensuring the runway remains in top condition.
Orah assured travelers that flight operations would continue uninterrupted, with all flights redirected to the alternate runway, 18L/36R.
FAAN reaffirmed its commitment to passenger safety, security, and overall comfort during the maintenance period.
