A heated confrontation erupted at the White House on Friday as U.S. President Donald Trump clashed with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky over peace talks with Russia.

The meeting, intended to finalize a U.S.-Ukraine minerals deal, quickly spiraled into a tense exchange, with Trump accusing Zelensky of being “ungrateful” for American aid.

Trump insisted Ukraine must make “compromises” with Russia, while Zelensky, showing images of war atrocities, firmly rejected any deal with “a killer on our territory.”

The fallout led to an abrupt end to the meeting, with Zelensky leaving without signing the deal or holding a planned press conference.

Taking to social media, Trump blasted Zelensky as “disrespectful” and declared him “not ready for peace.”

The dramatic face-off casts doubt on U.S. mediation efforts, as European allies rally behind Ukraine.
