The Federal Government has unveiled an ambitious plan to inject $100 billion into Nigeria’s GDP and create two million jobs in the creative and tourism sectors by 2030.
The Minister of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, disclosed this during a media briefing in Lagos, emphasizing the ministry’s commitment to economic expansion through the creative industry.
According to Musawa, the ministry has transitioned into the implementation phase, rolling out strategic initiatives to drive industry growth.
A key project is the D-30 Platform, a centralized database designed to map the industry, provide data-driven insights, and guide investments.
The minister highlighted collaborations with global firms like Boston Consulting Group (BCG) to position Nigeria as a global creative and cultural hub.
She assured that the ministry, under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive, is committed to ensuring industry players receive the necessary support to thrive.
