Three suspected criminals have reportedly snatched a motorcycle at gunpoint in Gadoro village, Kuje Area Council, only for it to be revealed as a toy gun.
The attack occurred on Sunday at 5 p.m., when the suspects flagged down the victim, Habila Joseph, near Kanzo village.
They allegedly tied his hands and legs, dumped him in a pit, and made away with his newly purchased motorcycle.
A local vigilante confirmed the incident, stating that the suspects used a fake weapon to intimidate Joseph.
The police have launched an investigation into the case, as concerns grow over rising crime in rural parts of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
