MultiChoice Nigeria has announced a sharp increase in subscription rates for DStv and GOtv packages, effective March 1, 2025, citing rising operational costs driven by Nigeria’s economic challenges.
In a statement signed by CEO John Ugbe, the pay-TV giant said the decision followed “careful consideration” and acknowledged the strain it could place on subscribers.
Despite the hike, the company pledged to maintain high-quality content and service.
The new subscription rates are as follows:
DStv: Compact: N19,000 (up from N15,000), Compact Plus: N30,000 (up from N24,500) and Premium: N44,500 (up from N29,500).
GOtv: Max: N8,500, Supa: N11,400 and Supa Plus: N16,800.
MultiChoice thanked customers for their loyalty and reaffirmed its commitment to offering premium entertainment despite the price surge.
