The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has arrested 59 suspected internet fraudsters in a major crackdown along Abacha Road, Mararaba axis of Nasarawa State, near Abuja.
The operation, based on credible intelligence, uncovered a large-scale cybercrime network, with 73 phones seized from the suspects.
This raid is part of the EFCC’s intensified nationwide campaign against internet fraud, following a series of high-profile arrests in recent months.
The commission confirmed that the suspects will face prosecution under Nigeria’s cybercrime laws, reaffirming its commitment to curbing online fraud and bringing offenders to justice.
