The Nigerian Gas Association (NGA), has secured a key role as an Association Partner for the 2025 World Gas Conference (WGC), in Beijing, positioning Nigeria at the forefront of global energy discussions.
From May 19–23, 2025, over 30,000 participants from 70 countries will gather at the China National Convention Centre for the world’s largest gas and energy summit.
The NGA will host a dedicated Nigerian Pavilion, spotlighting the nation’s vast gas resources, innovative energy solutions, and economic growth strategies.
NGA President, Akachukwu Nwokedi, emphasized Nigeria’s transformative potential, stating, “This platform highlights our pivotal role in Africa’s energy future and showcases our investor-friendly policies driving sustainable growth.”
Themed “Energising a Sustainable Future”, the event aligns with Nigeria’s drive to promote natural gas as a vital transition fuel in its decarbonization journey.
A highlight will be the Nigerian Day celebration, blending the nation’s rich culture with its growing influence in the global energy sector.
Nwokedi urged corporate players to seize this opportunity for global networking and investment partnerships, adding, “This is not just about telling Nigeria’s energy story—it’s about shaping its future on the world stage.”
