Traditional ruler Muhammad Yamawo of the Abuja Municipal Area Council has hailed FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for transforming Saburi through vital infrastructure projects, including a newly constructed access road and police station.

Yamawo, speaking during a journalists’ inspection of the ongoing and completed projects, praised Wike for addressing years of neglect by previous administrations, saying the developments have made life more meaningful for the community.

The newly built Saburi-Dei Dei road has notably boosted security and created job opportunities for local youths.
“We have suffered due to poor roads, but Wike has finally wiped our tears,” Yamawo stated.

The projects are part of Wike’s broader plan to enhance security across the FCT, including constructing 12 divisional police stations and six-unit police staff quarters across the six area councils.

Nuhu Musa, the project architect, revealed that the Saburi police station and staff residence are already 70% complete, progressing ahead of schedule.

Adamu Gwari, Director of Security Services at the FCTA, emphasized that the initiative stems from Wike’s direct engagement with residents, focusing on bringing security infrastructure closer to communities.
