Since her appointment as Group Managing Director of Abuja Investments Company Limited (AICL), in April 2024, Ambassador Maureen Tamuno, PhD, has emerged as a transformative force, steering Abuja toward becoming a premier business and investment destination in Africa.

With the backing of FCT Minister Barr. Nyesom Wike, Tamuno has revitalized AICL, injecting a bold entrepreneurial vision that positions Nigeria’s capital beyond its administrative status—into a dynamic economic powerhouse.

As she approaches her first anniversary in office, Tamuno is set to commission multiple landmark projects across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Her leadership will also extend to the international stage with a high-profile Investors Forum in the UK on June 19, 2025, followed by the second Abuja Business and Investment Expo (ABISummit2025) in October.

Both events are expected to spotlight Abuja’s vast investment potential and attract global partnerships.

Under Tamuno’s leadership, AICL’s strategies align seamlessly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at accelerating economic growth and development in the FCT.

She has cultivated a culture of transparency, encouraging open dialogue and fostering collaboration within the organization—factors that have strengthened AICL’s institutional framework and investor confidence.

With Tamuno at the helm, Abuja is rapidly evolving into a vibrant hub for business and investment, setting the stage for the city to emerge as a central economic force not just in Nigeria, but across Africa.
