Kaigama charged that “The enemy of the Catholic Church is always on the move, and as knights, you must be observant, disciplined, and ready to defend the faith,”

He stressed that true commitment to the knighthood demands not only ceremonial appearances but also active participation in safeguarding the Church’s integrity.

Quoting 1 Peter 5:8: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour,” the Archbishop reminded the knights of their duty to uphold holiness and remain steadfast in their spiritual journey.

Kaigama also emphasized the importance of humility and faithfulness, encouraging the newly decorated knights to serve with devotion, compassion, and a deep sense of responsibility.

“This is not just a title—it’s a call to action,” he said. “As true knights, your mission is to reflect Christ’s values in your actions, defend the Church’s teachings, and stand firm in the face of challenges.”

Archbishop Kaigama, officiating the noble degree decorations for the first time, prayed for the courage and strength of all members, urging them to serve both God and humanity with unwavering commitment.

On his part, the Supreme Subordinate President, Maj. Gen. Remy Uche, charged on members of the Order to embrace lives of communion, sacrifice, and service to God and humanity.

Gen. Uche, in a session preceding the Mass emphasized that true nobility is not defined by status but by selfless dedication, moral integrity, and unwavering faith.

“Advancement in this noble order is based on merit, not emotion. It requires sacrifice, loyalty, and a lifestyle that reflects Christ’s example,” he charged.

He urged the knights to embody virtues of humility, generosity, and compassion, stressing the importance of impacting their local churches and communities positively.

“Your life should be a testimony of service and leadership. You must distinguish yourselves in serving God and humanity,” Uche stated.

The president also condemned moral compromise, encouraging members to uphold righteousness in every aspect of their lives.

“You must lead with integrity, reject dishonor, and reflect God’s grace in your actions,” he added.

Gen. Uche reminding the knights that their calling demands responsibility, sacrifice, and unwavering faith, urged them to remain steadfast in living out the values of their sacred commitment.

Speaking in an interview, the Secretary, Abuja Grand Media Committee, Sir Alebode Isedu underscored the significance of nobility as a lifelong commitment to service, truth, and faith.

“Attaining the noble degree is not just a title; it signifies living with integrity, serving the Church, humanity, and working towards our salvation,” he said.

Addressing the role of the knights in defending the Church, as highlighted by the Archbishop during the event, Sir Isedu stressed the importance of standing up for the truth.

“We fight the enemies of the Church by always telling the truth, no matter the cost. We must remain prayerful, devoted, and committed—attending Mass, praying the Rosary, and fulfilling our obligations faithfully,” he charged.

Achieving the highest rank, according to the Commander, comes with a responsibility to live a life marked by virtue and discipline.

“It’s not a one-off achievement. Nobility must reflect in our actions every day—through faith, hope, and charity.

“We are called to serve the Church, our country, and God, offering our time, treasure, and talent,” he added.

To those aspiring to rise within the KSJI, the Commander offered clear advice: “Be noble in all you do. Nobility is not a momentary achievement! it’s a way of life that demands consistency, sacrifice, and outstanding commitment.”

The ceremony reaffirmed the order’s dedication to upholding its core values and strengthening its resolve to serve God and humanity with unwavering loyalty.
