Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been granted bail by the Isabo Magistrate Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State, following his arraignment on a five-count charge, including conspiracy, assault, obstruction, possession of weapons, and conduct likely to cause public harm.

The charges stem from a February 5 incident in which Portable allegedly led an attack on Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning officials inspecting a property in Ota.

After evading multiple police invitations, he was declared wanted before his eventual arrest.

Portable’s lawyer, Oluwatoyin Ayodele, pleaded for bail, arguing that the singer had shown remorse.

Magistrate O. L. Oke granted bail at ₦2 million with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case to March 5, 2025.

If convicted, Portable could face up to 20 years in prison. His associates, also facing similar charges, were granted bail and will appear in court on March 17.
